Evropska komisija bo že v okviru 7. okvirnega programa 20% financiranih raziskav z dodatnim členom v pogodbi zavezala k shranitvi člankov iz teh raziskav v prostodostopne repozitorije in obvezo ohranila tudi v 8. okvirnem programu.
